 Heating and Cooling Incentives:

• Clean Heat Rhode Island: Rebates available to all RI electric utility customers (Rhode Island Energy, Clear River, Block Island Power) for high-efficiency electric heat pumps and heat pump hot water heaters. These incentives are for low-to-moderate income households that currently heat their homes with oil, propane, or natural gas. To learn more, please visit the Clean Heat RI website.

Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) Program:

The Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) Program offers direct energy and cost savings to households through rebates that can help save money on select high efficiency electric home appliances. HEAR Rebate Amounts:

• Rebates are reserved and/or awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The Income-Eligible Pathway serves households currently enrolled in LIHEAP. If you are receiving LIHEAP benefits and are interested in participating in HEAR, please contact your local Community Action Program (CAP) agency to learn more and schedule a home energy audit.
• The Retail Pathway is available to eligible low- and moderate-income Rhode Island residents. To apply through this pathway, please complete the HEAR Application linked below.

Rhode Island Commerce Small Business Energy Efficiency Grant Program 

The Rhode Island Commerce Small Business Energy Efficiency Grant Program is a statewide effort to assist small businesses reduce their energy costs by implementing measures that improve energy efficiency. This program will reimburse small businesses up to $20,000 for energy efficiency measures implemented as the result of an energy efficiency audit.
