Public School Programs
Our Public School Program aims to provide essential support to public schools in Rhode Island, with an emphasis on underserved districts, by implementing energy-saving measures that improve building occupants' health, safety, and comfort while also reducing energy costs. These investments will not only improve the conditions of these important public buildings but also contribute to the state's Act on Climate law, which mandates economy-wide greenhouse gas reduction targets leading to net-zero emissions by 2050.
We have developed the following tools to support the Public School Program effectively. The links below offer information on the accelerator's objectives, eligible entities, and the application process:
- Public School LED Lighting Accelerator
- Public School Heat-Pump Water Heater Accelerator
- Public School Building Automation System Accelerator
- Facility Energy Audits
