Solarize Rhode Island
The Solarize Rhode Island Program is over. OER, through this successful program, has helped educate thousands of Rhode Islanders about the benefits of solar PV. The Solarize program sought to increase the adoption of small-scale solar electricity in participating communities through a competitive tiered pricing structure that increases the savings for everyone as more home and business owners sign contracts.
During the five year program, 733 residents and business owners have signed contracts for small-scale solar electricity systems with the program. Thousands more have been educated about the economic and environmental benefits of solar PV, energy efficiency and other clean energy technologies.
