Rhode Island Solar Permit

The Office of Energy Resources (OER) created a statewide Solar Permit that shall be used for all solar PV projects in all municipalities for all types of solar projects, including but not limited to ground and roof mounted systems regardless the project size. The use of this permit went into effect for all Rhode Island municipalities on January 1, 2018. If you have questions about the permit, please contact Shauna Beland at shauna.beland@energy.ri.gov.
